For dog daycare

Dog daycare software for the morning rush, not the back office.

Daycare is the same jobs at volume — standing bookings, a wall of arrivals at open, care logged all day, parents who want to know how their dog is doing. BarkWhiz makes each one a few taps instead of a few screens, so a packed day runs off the floor, not a spreadsheet.

Watch a daycare day, start to finish

Book the day, check in, log care, send the update — the jobs you repeat dozens of times a day, captured in our own app.

In daycare, the clicks compound

High volume, low margin for friction

Forty dogs in and out is eighty trips through check-in before a single care note. Shave a few clicks off a job you repeat all day and it turns into real hours back on the floor.

Time back where the rush is worst

The minutes land at open and close — exactly when the desk is slammed and the dogs need watching most.

Built by an operator

Made by someone who has worked an open shift

“Ten-plus years running pet-care operations across multiple locations — I've stood at the desk when the door opens and twenty dogs arrive in fifteen minutes, paying every month for software that recorded all of it and helped with none of it.

Daycare punishes friction: the same jobs hundreds of times a week, every extra click a tax you pay all day. So I'm building the system I wanted on those mornings.”

Questions daycare operators ask

Yes. Standing daycare reservations are the bread and butter, so you set them once and they hold their spot — and you can see how full any given day is at a glance instead of counting kennels from memory.

BarkWhiz turns the day's logged activity into an AI-drafted update, and a team member reviews it and sends it. A human is always in the loop — the AI writes the first version, your staff decides what actually goes out. Pet parents also get a branded self-serve portal — live with our first facilities today — where they can book, upload vaccine records, and pay their balance. Automatic system-sent email and text reminders now send straight from BarkWhiz; the AI-drafted updates still go through the draft-and-review flow before they're sent.

That's the whole design goal. Check-in and check-out are built for a couple of taps with the dog's notes, meds, and pickup details riding along — because the morning rush is where slow software hurts most. See it run in real screens.

Yes. Turn on a required meet-and-greet before a new dog's first daycare day. Your team runs the evaluation and records the outcome — approved, waived, or needs a follow-up — and a dog that isn't cleared yet can't be checked in by mistake. You can also send your daycare agreement or waiver for owners to sign online before the first visit, with the signed copy stored on their record.

Yes — white-glove migration is part of founding membership. We move your customers, dogs, and history over for you rather than handing you a spreadsheet and wishing you luck. More on making the switch.

Live today: reservations and scheduling, check-in/out, floor care logging, customer and dog records, AI-drafted parent updates (human reviews and sends), staff workspace, and Stripe-powered subscription billing. The QuickBooks integration is also live. Newly live in early access: a branded customer portal with online booking, self-serve vaccine uploads, and pay-your-balance-online; branded public booking pages; loyalty and membership pricing honored automatically; and Google reviews capture. Automated email and text reminders and follow-ups now send straight from BarkWhiz too, with AI-drafted updates still reviewed and sent by your team. Still on the roadmap: dynamic pricing and more integrations. We'd rather be upfront than oversell. See the full roadmap.

Time saved

How much time is your team losing to clicks?

Daycare is high-volume and repetitive — the same handful of tasks, hundreds of times a week. A few clicks saved on each one adds up fast. Estimate the time you'd win back.

Estimate from your weekly volumes and our target legacy-vs-BarkWhiz click reductions (illustrative, not yet independently measured), at the seconds-per-click you set — not a guarantee. AI-drafted updates are approximated as ~7 fewer clicks.

Your current software can't tell you any of this.

That's the gap. Legacy software makes your team click through every task, then never counts the clicks — or the hours lost to busywork. The waste is real, but it stays invisible, so nothing ever improves. BarkWhiz cuts the routine work down and shows you the time you're winning back — not just the tasks you finished.
