Your customer list, your pets' histories, your revenue — that's the business. Before you hand it to any software, you deserve a straight answer about how it's stored, who can see it, and what happens if you leave. No jargon, no badges we haven't earned.

We keep the data the software needs to run your operation and the features you asked for — not a pile of extras to monetize on the side.
We don't sell it
Your facility's data isn't a product. We don't sell it or share it for advertising. Full stop.
How it's protected
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Traffic to BarkWhiz runs over TLS (HTTPS), and your data is stored on modern cloud infrastructure that encrypts it at rest. It isn't sitting in plain text on a server somewhere.
Role-based access, tenant isolation
Five roles mean the front desk, managers, and owners each see what they should — nothing more. Each facility's data is isolated from every other facility's, so one account can't reach another's records.
We don't store card numbers
Payments run through an established, PCI-compliant payment processor. Raw card details go to them, not into BarkWhiz — so your most sensitive payment data never lands in our database.
Backups, so a bad day isn't a disaster
Your data is backed up automatically on the infrastructure it runs on, so an accident on a busy Saturday doesn't mean losing your history.
What we don't claim — yet.
We're a pre-launch company, and we're not going to put a compliance badge on this page that we haven't earned. We don't currently advertise formal third-party certifications. What we will do is tell you exactly how your data is handled, answer any security question straight, and go as deep as your team needs on a call. As we grow, this page grows with us — honestly.

BarkWhiz uses a third-party AI provider to generate drafts — like a pet-parent update — from your facility's activity. We don't sell your data, and a human on your team always reviews AI output before anything is sent or acted on. We're happy to walk through exactly how the AI features handle data on a call.
