Bookings, the day-at-a-glance calendar, and the kennel map — one place to manage stays and keep capacity visible without bouncing between screens.
A fair question before you switch your facility to a young product: is this real, and will you still be here in a year? Here’s the honest answer — the parts of BarkWhiz operators use today, the parts in active development, and what’s further out. We label every line. No “coming soon” dressed up as done.
This page is the build log, not a wish list.
It’s kept current as the product moves — updated regularly, reflecting where BarkWhiz actually stands today. Last updated: July 1, 2026. Anything marked Available now is running in the product with our founding cohort right now. Anything marked In development is being built and isn’t live yet. We’d rather under-promise here than have you discover the gap after you’ve moved your data.
The operational core is built and in use. This is the everyday work a boarding or daycare facility repeats hundreds of times a week — and it runs today. Watch these flows in real screens →
Bookings, the day-at-a-glance calendar, and the kennel map — one place to manage stays and keep capacity visible without bouncing between screens.
Feeding, medications, and incidents logged where the work happens — structured, time-stamped, and easy to follow so routines stay consistent and nothing gets missed.
Every owner and every dog has a connected record — notes, history, and care details in one place, so staff understand the relationship, not just the last transaction.
The AI turns the day’s activity into a friendly first draft — not a blank box. A staff member reviews, edits, and sends. A human always decides what goes out.
Leads, follow-ups, tasks, and conversations in one staff workspace — so the rebooking and the at-risk client don’t slip between inboxes. Your team works the pipeline in one place.
Your BarkWhiz subscription and billing run on Stripe today. Your books stay tidy with the live QuickBooks integration — the one outside connection that’s available right now.
Five roles with real tenant isolation — front desk, managers, and owners each see exactly what they should, across one location or several. Built for a team, not a shared login.
Your clients get a self-serve dashboard to view their dog’s details, stays, and updates, upload their own vaccine and immunization records, and pay their balance online — less back-and-forth for your front desk. In real use with our first facilities today.
Your own white-label public pages where pet parents book online under your brand — not a generic vendor portal. Live with our first facilities now, and a real edge over the incumbents.
Membership and loyalty pricing is honored automatically at booking — your regulars get their rate without staff having to remember it. Live in early access today.
Turn a great stay into a Google review — BarkWhiz helps you capture happy-client reviews where new pet parents are looking. Live in early access now.
AI-drafted updates, reminders, and follow-ups now send straight from BarkWhiz over email and text. Routine reminders can go out automatically; AI-drafted relationship messages wait for your team's review before they send.
The Revenue Intelligence system is live in invite-only early access with a small group of facilities — the model and core system are built and accessible today. The deeper demand-based pricing and forecasting are still on the horizon (below).
These are being built now and aren’t live yet. They’re on the near-term roadmap — and they’re exactly the kind of thing founding facilities get to weigh in on, because what ships first is shaped by what our first operators actually need.
Spin up your facility and import your data on your own. For now we do this the white-glove way — we migrate every founding facility by hand. Self-serve is in development.
QuickBooks is the one operator-facing integration live today; under the hood the platform runs on Stripe, Twilio, and Resend, which power live billing, texting, and email. More connections are in active development. We’ll only ever label one “live” once it truly is.
Further out — the direction BarkWhiz is heading once the foundation above is solid. These aren’t in build yet, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. They’re where an operator-built platform should eventually take your business.
Pricing that responds to demand and pace, with suggestions your team approves — never prices changing on their own. A horizon item; we’ll build it the human-in-the-loop way.
Seeing the busy and slow weeks coming — so you can staff, price, and fill ahead of demand instead of reacting to it. On the horizon, further down the roadmap.
Grooming is supported today as an appointment type and a service-catalog offering. A full grooming workflow — intake-to-pickup, groomer scheduling, and grooming-specific records — is planned.
The Live / In-development / On-the-horizon split isn’t marketing caution — it’s a deliberate promise. Plenty of kennel software demos features that quietly don’t work yet. We’d rather you know precisely where the line is before you move your facility’s data over, not after.
And the order things ship in isn’t decided in a vacuum. Founding facilities directly shape what’s next. You get a direct line to the founder, and what our first operators need most is what gets built first. Read why BarkWhiz is built this way →
Founding facilities receive Ops + CRM for $249/month, locked for 24 months. After that, they retain a permanent 15% discount from the then-current list price.
